NylarInsect Growth Regulator (IGR) for Roaches, FleasThe IGR Nylar is the active ingredient in Archer, Flea Fix, IG Regulator. This material is photostable (can be used outdoors and indoors) and inhibits the growth of fleas and roaches. Nylar has a 3 to 6 month residual indoors and can last 30 days when used outdoors. This IGR can be used alone (for roach and flea prevention) or tank mixed with an approved adulticide. Available in liquid concentrate and aerosol formulations. In flea elimination, Nylar IGR is usually tank mixed with an odorless insecticide such as Suspend SC or Permethrin Pro. For flea prevention, use Nylar in your home 3 to 4 times each year. This preventative measure prevents flea eggs deposited in your home from becoming biting, jumping, reproducing adult fleas. When using an IGR outdoors, use at least 1 ounce of Archer IGR per 1,000 square feet. For best results, combine Archer and Permethrin Pro in your outdoor flea control program. In roach elimination, Nylar IGR is tank mixed with Cypermethrin or Acephate/ Orthene insecticides. For cockroach prevention, use Nylar 4 times per year. |
